Varano's features a special wine every month. The wine is always something out of the ordinary that we feel deserves to be shared, and offered at a discounted price to our customers. Below is a record of all the monthly wine specials we held in the past, in case you were trying to remember that special wine you tried from your last visit.

Coppo Camp du Rouss Barbara
Camp du Rouss is deep red in color with garnet highlights. If offers textbook Barbera aromas of crushed cherry and wild berry jam, followed by notes of leather and herbs, and a hint of smoke.
Argiolas Perdera Monica
Layers of dark fruit, herbs, spices, and minerals flow from this exuberant, medium to full-bodied offering. Hints of smoke and tar add further nuance on the finish.
Taurino Salice Salentino Riserva
Light, rustic, and earthy with good acidity and balance. This is a refreshingly classic example of Salice Salentino.
Sella & Mosca Terre Rare Carignano Riserva
Intense ruby red with purple hues, aromas of ripe raspberries accompanied by spicy notes and floral scents with a touch of vanilla.
Masciarelli Villa Gemma Bianco
Pale straw in color and it has slightly fruity, apple taste.
Mastroberardino Lacryma Christi Rosso
Intense ruby red in color, with a full bouquet of cherry, plum, raspberry and strawberry aromas supported by spiced pepper and clove.
Altesino Rosso di Altesino
Bright ruby red in color. The bouquet is fresh with scents of woodberries. Dry on the palate with excellent body and sound structure.
Planeta La Segreta Rosso
It has a ruby red color with purple highlights. The nose has fresh berries, cherries and plum. The taste is fruit forward with smooth tannins and enough acidity to pair well with any hardy meal.
Bisceglia Aglianico del Vulture
Smoky, gravel and sandstone scents mingle with very ripe plum and blackberry juice. Very soft and lush-textured, with mineral/gravel-infused dark, ripe cherry fruit. Loads of fine-grained tannins.
Tasca d'Almerita Regaleali Nero d'Avola
Bright ruby red in color, with notes of sweet balsamic, cassis, dark berries, cherries, blackberries, and vanilla... all creating a complex bouquet.
Allegrini Valpolicella DOC
Attractive fresh cherry fruit here, with a slightly herby-chalky edge. Soft and round, a touch spicy on the palate.
Tormaresca Neprica Puglia IGT
Bright berry and cherry aromas and flavors. There were spicy notes of licorice and black tea in the palate, with a nice lift of acidity.
Melini 'Borghi d'Elsa' Chianti
Bright, ruby red. The bouquet is intense, fragrant with elegant scents of iris and raspberries and spices. The taste is dry, full and harmonious with an elegant aftertaste of toasted almonds and fruit.
Stella Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC
Ruby red in color with pleasing aromas and a dry, mellow taste.
Gravina Bianco DOC
Brilliant lemon-green in color with a nose scented with playful hints of green apple, white peach and apricot. On the palate, a tangy vein of acidity unfolds into a long, harmonious finish.
Ognissole Primitivo di Manduria DOC
Soft, consistent, with an excellent balance of acidity and tannins. Velvety smooth. Closes with lingering sensations of cocoa and coffee.
San Polo Rubio IGT
Sangiovese from the hills around Montalcino is a deep dark ruby wine displaying supple aromas of currants, chocolate and violets. The flavors combine in a complex mid-palate of ripe cherries and spices, with well structured tannins and a velvety finish.
Librandi Duca San Felice Ciro Riserva
This one is made with 100% Gaglioppo, a regional grape originating in Greece, giving up aromas of intense spices and red berries, flavors of dried red fruits, ripe strawberries and ending with a long smokey finish.
Sella & Mosca Cannonau Riserva
Rich red color, light to medium body, smooth, plummy and flowery with a hint of spiceness and sweet finish.
Statti Gaglioppo
intense ruby red color and a strong nose of cherries and spice. Fruit-bombish in taste, but at the same time, softly tannic. Beautifully textured mouth feel; nice smooth finish.
Damilano Nebbiolo d'Alba
Nebbiolo d' Alba is dusty brick-red in color with a nice nose of violets and spice. The wine is fairly light in body. Aged for 16 months in French oak barriques (50% new and 50% one and two years old).
Poggio Al Tesoro Solosole
Youthful lemon-gold in color, Solosole offers vibrant aromas of apricot, white peaches, acacia flowers and ripe melon. On the palate, it is substantially flavorful and rich yet also refreshingly crisp and zesty.
Paolo Leo Primitivo Passitivo Puglia IGT
Intense ruby colored wine with a bouquet of cherries and raspberries, very pleasing to the palate. The wine is full-bodied, well balanced and has a long silky finish.
Masi Campofiorin del Veronese IGT
Deep ruby red color with violet tinges on the edges. Intense bouquet with hints of ripe berry fruit, baked plums and cherries. Ample on the palate, full-bodied and velvety with characteristic hints of bitter cherries and cooked fruit. Attractive aftertaste with a hint of walnut.
